To better understand how the public views modern manufacturing careers, Southern Nevada’s Industry Sector Partnership (ISP) initiative is hosting a community listening session focused on workforce awareness, career perception, and public understanding of today’s manufacturing industry.
Members of the community are invited to participate in the free discussion on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the EmployNV Career Hub inside the Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Pkwy., Henderson, NV 89014.
Registration is encouraged by clicking here.
The listening session is organized by Workforce Connections, Southern Nevada’s Local Workforce Development Board, which convenes the Industry Sector Partnerships, in collaboration with the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) and other EmployNV partners.
According to data from DETR, Nevada led the nation in job creation in March 2026 across multiple industries, including manufacturing. Manufacturing’s growth is reflected in major projects such as the new Haas Automation West Henderson facility, which is expected to create approximately 1,400 manufacturing jobs as operations expand.
The listening session will help employers, educators, and workforce partners better align future outreach, career awareness campaigns, and workforce development strategies with community perception and understanding of opportunities in the manufacturing industry.
