The Public Education Foundation (PEF) today announced Board and Staff leadership appointments, effective June 1, 2026.Peter Guzman concludes his two-year term as Board Chair, and will be succeeded by current Vice Chair Tony Sanchez. Joshua Miller, currently PEF’s Treasurer, becomes Vice Chair. Jean Vock, formerly Chief Financial Officer of UNLV, succeeds Josh as chair of the organization’s Finance Committee.
PEF also added the following community leaders to its Board of Directors:
• Jacqueline Beato, CEO, Touro University Nevada
• Jacqueline Estrella, Regional Sales Director, Cox Business, Las Vegas

• Jacqueline Estrella, Regional Sales Director, Cox Business, Las Vegas
The organization also announced that its CEO, Rich Broome, will retire on June 1, 2027 after six years in that role. Latoya Holman, Chief Development and Human Resources Officer, and Jeff Wells, Chief Financial and Operations Officer, have been appointed Co-Presidents of PEF. It is the PEF Board intends for Holman and Wells to succeed Broome as Co-CEOs on June 1, 2027.
Peter Guzman said, “It has been one of the great honors of my career so far to serve as PEFchairman at a time when our public schools and children are making real progress under the leadership of Clark County School District (CCSD) Superintendent Jhone Ebert. I can think of no better person to succeed me as chairman than Tony Sanchez, who, like me, is a product of our local public schools, and is a highly respected Las Vegas business and community leader.
Commenting on the PEF staff leadership transition, Guzman shared, “Rich Broome joined PEF during Jan Jones’ chairmanship and helped us thoroughly professionalize the organization and ensure its focus was 100% on generating the greatest positive impact for our students and educators in support of CCSD strategic priorities.
Guzman added, “We’re thrilled to have two strong leaders on staff in Latoya Holman and Jeff Wells, whose exceptional and complementary skills are equally essential to take PEF to the next level. Additionally, their strong professional partnership will serve the organization well. navigate, with their teams, the Board and the community, the many opportunities to accelerate progress in our public schools.
Guzman concluded, “All of us at PEF know that today’s students will be tomorrow’s community and business leaders. Today’s schools produce many accomplished graduates ready to take on their next educational or employment challenges. They are supported by families and teachers as well as a community we believe can be dedicated to achieving across-the-board excellence in our schools.”
