LAS VEGAS – The LINQ Promenade will shine a powerful light of remembrance and awareness as the High Roller Observation Wheel, one of the most recognizable landmarks on the Las Vegas Strip, glows teal on Friday, May 8 in recognition of World Ovarian Cancer Day, honoring those impacted by ovarian cancer and the memory of Las Vegas community member Coralissa Delaforce.
The event is in partnership with Tell Every Amazing Lady®, T.E.A.L.®, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness of ovarian cancer, supporting those affected and funding critical research. The LINQ Promenade has a long-standing relationship with the organization, supporting its initiatives through ongoing contributions and helping to further raise awareness for the cause.
The Las Vegas T.E.A.L. ® Walk/Run was led by Coralissa Delaforce, whose leadership and dedication helped expand the organization’s presence in Southern Nevada. She raised significant funds for ovarian cancer research while also uniting survivors and supporters across the region. Coralissa passed away in November at age 52, leaving a lasting impact on her family, friends and the community she helped build.
In tribute to her legacy and in support of ovarian cancer awareness, the High Roller will be illuminated in teal on the evening of May 8. As a standalone attraction adjacent to The LINQ Promenade, the High Roller Observation Wheel extends the reach of the tribute across the Las Vegas Strip. At 550 feet tall, the wheel’s LED lighting system enables vibrant, customized displays visible throughout the valley, amplifying awareness for the cause. The lighting coincides with Tell Every Amazing Lady®’s “Tell-A-Thon”, a daylong digital event focused on education, advocacy and fundraising.
“We met Coralissa through the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon when she ran for Team Tell Every Amazing Lady®. After the race, she continued to be a part of our foundation and helped us bring our mission to Las Vegas,” said the Tell Every Amazing Lady® team. “She was a true light — an inspiration, a force of positivity and a beautiful soul whose smile could brighten any day. She will never be forgotten, and her spirit will keep shining through all the lives she continues to impact.
We are so grateful to honor the memory of Coralissa on World Ovarian Cancer Day, a day of global awareness and action, by lighting the Las Vegas sky teal. Founded in 2009, Tell Every Amazing Lady® works to educate women about the signs, symptoms and risk factors of ovarian cancer, support those affected and advance research toward improved screening and a cure. Ovarian cancer has no accurate screening test, making awareness critical.
