The Emerald Island Casino in Downtown Henderson is celebrating its 23rd anniversary this month and threw a huge birthday bash to mark the occasion on Saturday, May 16.
Guests were treated to complimentary slow smoked beef brisket BBQ sandwiches, hors d’oeuvres, cake and Irish coffee. Players also got a chance to win big cash prizes, including the Super Bonus Multiplier Wheel of Cash’s $1,100 jackpot. There was also a limited-edition t-shirt giveaway.
“It was wonderful celebrating another anniversary by offering our guests, many of which are regulars, a day of fun, feasts and games,” said Tim Brooks, general manager of the Emerald Island and Rainbow Club Casinos. “Our ability to thrive as one of Downtown Henderson’s leading destinations for gaming is a true testament to the loyalty of our guests, many of whom have come to know our staff as extended family and friends. The Emerald Island Casino, previously known as the Pot of Gold Casino, was bought by twin brothers Tim and Mike Brooks in 2001. The property was remodeled and rebranded in 2003, before being sold to ECL Hospitality Management, and is considered a top choice for locals.
