May 15, 2026 (RENO, Nev.) – KPS3, a full-service marketing and communications firm, was honored with two Silver Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America, one of the industry’s most prestigious recognitions for strategic communications excellence. KPS3 is the only Nevada agency recognized this year.
The agency earned Silver Anvils for two distinct campaigns: the Nevada State Office of Epidemiology’s “Block the Pox” campaign in the Multicultural Public Relations category, and Visit Carson City’s “A Winter’s Charm” campaign in the Business-to-Consumer Content Marketing category.
The PRSA Silver Anvil Awards recognize the highest level of achievement in public relations, honoring campaigns that demonstrate outstanding strategic planning, creativity, execution and measurable results. Winners were announced during the 2026 Anvil Awards ceremony held May 14, 2026 in New York City.
KPS3’s winning work spanned two different objectives and audiences; one focused on building trust in public health communications within diverse communities across Nevada, and the other designed to inspire travel and deepen emotional connection to Carson City, Nevada as a winter destination.
“The Silver Anvil Awards represent the very best in our profession, so to be recognized twice in one year is incredibly meaningful for our entire integrated team,” said Nicole Shearer, APR, associate vice president of public relations at KPS3. “What makes this especially rewarding is the range of the work. ‘Block the Pox’ focused on delivering culturally relevant, life-impacting public health messaging, while ‘A Winter’s Charm’ invited people to experience the beauty and character of Carson City in a new way. Both campaigns reflect the trust our clients place in us and the strategic thinking and creativity that define KPS3.”
The PRSA Silver Anvil Awards received 667 entries nationwide across multiple categories. Following a rigorous peer-review process, 144 finalists were selected, with winners ultimately recognized across a range of honors, including 42 Silver Anvil Awards, 21 Bronze Anvil Awards, 60 Silver Anvil Awards of Excellence and 21 Bronze Anvil Awards of Commendation. This year’s winners reflect the breadth of impact strategic communications can have across industries and communities.
For 35 years, KPS3 has developed long-standing relationships with both clients and employees, earning a spot amongst northern Nevada’s Best Places to Work as a 10-time finalist. For more information about working with KPS3 as a client or an employee, please visit kps3.com.
