Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties is hosting its third annual charity golf tournament to benefit the Sunshine Kids, a nonprofit organization that provides experiences and events for children battling cancer. The tournament will be held May 15 at Los Prados Golf Club in Northwest Las Vegas.
“Last year, the tournament brought in nearly $20,000, and we’re setting our goals even higher this year,” said Troy Reierson, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties. “Every dollar raised helps give these children opportunities to step away from treatment and simply enjoy being kids through memorable events and experiences.”
The Sunshine Kids hosts local events such as Back-to-School programs to support families, Holiday Gift Programs that aid during the holiday season, and even Senior Send-Off Programs that help prepare graduating seniors for their next chapter. It also offers in-hospital programs that give children battling cancer the chance to participate in everyday activities and allow their families to meet other families facing similar diagnoses.
Check-in begins at 7.am. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Tickets are available starting at $175 for golf and lunch, with an option for $75 for lunch only. For cash only on the day of the event, mulligans and raffle tickets are available for $5.
Sponsorship tiers are available, starting as little as $500 for an honorable mention, $750 for a gold sponsor, and $1,000 for a platinum sponsor. Options for the sponsorships are a sign at the check-in table, a sign at hole or a table at the teabox.
“From every swing to each putt, the support helps inspire hope, spread joy and make a lasting difference for these remarkable children and their families,” said Reierson. “We want to bring the community together for a cause that truly matters.”
