
LAS VEGAS (April 2026) – Siena Italian Trattoria & Deli proudly announces executive chef and owner Giancarlo Bomparola has been awarded the esteemed “Brand Ambassador Award,” an international honor recognizing his commitment to preserving and promoting the authenticity of Italian cuisine and products abroad.
Bomparola received the award at a conference held in the historic Sala della Regina at Italy’s Chamber of Deputies in Rome. The event included government officials, industry leaders and international business figures to spotlight the importance of protecting and elevating “Made in Italy” products around the world.
Presented by Italian Producers, an organization dedicated to safeguarding the integrity and global reputation of Italian goods, the Brand Ambassador Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to sourcing, showcasing and advocating for authentic Italian ingredients and culinary traditions. The award itself is a handcrafted work of Salento ceramic art, symbolizing Italy’s rich artisanal heritage.
Bomparola began his culinary journey in his family’s business in Milan, Italy, before expanding his expertise in pastry production, restaurant management and front-of-house operations. His pursuit of culinary excellence took him across Europe and the United States, where he refined his skills at renowned establishments in Paris, New York and California. In Las Vegas, Bomparola joined forces with business partner Antonio Accornero to transform the historic Siena Deli, which opened in 1978 and was originally located on East Tropicana Avenue, into today’s Siena, which is a full-scale trattoria, bakery and market. Siena Trattoria & Deli opened in 2010 near Las Vegas’ Summerlin neighborhood on West Sahara Avenue and has since established itself as a beloved destination for elegant, authentic Italian dining and—from its deli—high-quality culinary imports.
Bomparola was honored alongside a select group of international entrepreneurs, importers and cultural leaders who play a vital role in strengthening the global appreciation for Italian excellence.
