June offers Southern Nevadans a variety of meaningful opportunities to give back and make a difference in their community. Throughout the month, charitable events will support a wide range of causes, including veterans and first responders, children and families, rescue animals, youth athletics, water safety initiatives and individuals living with ALS. Among the charitable events taking place throughout Southern Nevada this month are:
Wine Wednesdays at The Las Vegas Farm
WHEN: June 3, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
WHERE: The Las Vegas Farm, 7222 W. Grand Teton Drive
DETAILS: Guests can enjoy wine tastings, live music, appetizers and raffle prizes while supporting rescued animals. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit animal care and rescue efforts at the farm.
Day of Gratitude – 20,000 Veterans, Military and First Responders Free Event
WHEN: Saturday, June 6, Noon – 4 p.m.
WHERE: Allegiant Stadium
DETAILS: Hosted by CityServe, Voice of the Veteran and Love Has No Limits, and presented by the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation, this free community celebration honors veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders and their families. The event includes a patriotic awards ceremony, live entertainment, support services, gratitude gifts and valuable community resources.
Lou Gehrig Day Benefiting ALS of Nevada
WHEN: June 6, 7:05 p.m.
WHERE: Las Vegas Ballpark
DETAILS: Baseball fans can support ALS of Nevada while attending the Las Vegas Aviators game, with a portion of ticket sales benefiting programs and services for individuals and families affected by ALS.
Boys Town Nevada Partnership Day at Cowabunga Vegas
WHEN: June 6
WHERE: Cowabunga Bay Henderson and Cowabunga Canyon Summerlin
DETAILS: A portion of ticket sales from both waterparks will benefit Boys Town Nevada and its programs supporting children and families throughout Southern Nevada.
Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas Fundraiser

WHERE: The Orleans Showroom
DETAILS: The fundraiser features Mick Adams and the Stones and benefits Retriever Rescue of Las Vegas, helping support animal rescue, adoption and rehabilitation efforts.
Family Farm Days at The Ranch Las Vegas

DETAILS: Families can enjoy interactive farm experiences while supporting Horses4Heroes, a nonprofit dedicated to serving veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders and their families.
VFA Summer Games

WHERE: Multiple Southern Nevada locations
DETAILS: The annual Olympic-style youth sports competition promotes health, wellness and participation while providing heart screenings and educational opportunities for young athletes.
World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™
WHEN: June 25, 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
WHERE: Cowabunga Bay Henderson and Cowabunga Canyon Summerlin
DETAILS: This global water safety event teaches critical drowning prevention skills and water safety education for children and families.
