St. Vincent’s Super Thrift Store Reopens for Retail and Donations
Reno, Nev. – Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada is pleased to announce that St. Vincent’s Super Thrift store is once again open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Super Thrift is the only Catholic Charities thrift store location open for retail and donations at this time. Super Thrift is located at 190 E. Glendale Avenue in Sparks.
“In accordance with the CDC and Governor’s orders, we are implementing recommendations for best practices to avoid spreading the COVID-19 virus,” said Marie Baxter, CEO of Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada.
Guidelines for donations are as follows. All donated items must be unloaded by the donor at the designated donation drop-off area at Super Thrift. At this time, Super Thrift is not able to accept upholstered furniture donations. All donated items will be quarantined for a minimum of seven days before being placed on the store floor. St. Vincent’s Thrift Store neighborhood donation centers are not currently open.
To ensure everyone’s safety new store policies have been put in place. Super Thrift is following Washoe County’s COVID-19 recommendations and asks that all donors and customers please wear a mask and do not come to the store if you’re not feeling well. Everyone must practice social distancing and maintain a six-foot distance from other people. No public restrooms or fitting rooms will be available. All sales are final, and no returns will be accepted.
