Community members are invited to submit nominations through May 15th, 2026, at www.ClarkCountyMedical.org/Winged-Heart-Awards/.
“The Winged Heart Awards bring our community together to celebrate the people who show up every day with compassion, skill and dedication,” said Dr. Alexander. “We encourage Southern Nevada residents to nominate someone who has truly made a difference in their life or the lives of others.”
Unlike many healthcare awards that focus on physicians and executives, the Winged Heart Awards shine a spotlight on frontline professionals and organizations making a direct impact on patient care and community wellness. Nominees are reviewed by the Clark County Medical Society Presidents’ Committee, which selects one honoree in each category.
Nominees must meet the following criteria:
- First responders must be actively serving in Clark County as paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officers or firefighters
- Nurses must be currently practicing in a local hospital or healthcare setting and providing essential patient care
- Nonprofit organizations must be registered 501(c)(3) entities dedicated to improving health and wellness in Clark County
Since its inception, the Winged Heart Awards have recognized individuals and organizations whose dedication strengthens the health and wellbeing of Southern Nevada. Past honorees include local nurses, community-based nonprofits and first responders who have gone above and beyond in service to others.
Winners are selected by the CCMS’ Presidents’ Committee that includes George Alexander, MD (2012-13 president), Brad Isaacs, MD (2025-2026 president), Kathleen Benson, MD (2026-2027 president-elect), and Zoltan Mari, MD (2024-2025 president).
Winged Heart Award nominees will be honored during the CCMS 71st Annual Presidential Installation and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, June 20th, 2025, at the Wynn Resort.
