Reno, Nev. (December 31, 2025) – If decluttering your closets, pantry, or garage is part of your New Year’s resolution, St. Vincent’s Thrift Stores invite you to turn that effort into an opportunity to give back. By donating gently used household items, electronics, shoes, and clothing at any St. Vincent’s Thrift Store or Drop-Off Center, community members help Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada (CCNN) support its four pillars of service—food services, case management, family services, and residential programs—benefiting thousands of Northern Nevadans each year while giving pre-loved items a second life.
“Following the rush of holiday shopping and fewer donations during the holidays, our inventory is currently lower than usual,” said Marie Baxter, CEO of Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. “Community donations right now are especially important to help us continue supporting essential programs.”
CCNN operates multiple Donation Drop-Off Centers, open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., including the newly designated Golden Valley Drop-Off Center at 440 E. Golden Valley Road. CCNN Drop-Off Centers are conveniently located close to neighborhoods for ease of use. Glendale Avenue in Sparks. Both accept donations daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about the thrift stores, visit https://ccsnn.org/pages/thrift-stores.
The proceeds generated from the sale of donated items at the Thrift Stores contribute to funding the poverty assistance programs run by Catholic Charities. These programs include serving 1,400 daily hot meals in the St. Vincent’s Dining Room, providing food through the Food Pantry, and supporting the employment of program residents.
