FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SPOOKY TO SPARKLE SHOPPING EVENT
~Free Holiday Décor at Catholic Charities for Families in Need~
(October 7, 2024 – Reno, Nev.) – Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada (CCNN) will be hosting a special shopping day for families in need on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at their main campus located at 500 East Fourth Street, Reno. The event, titled “Spooky to Sparkle,” will offer a wide selection of holiday décor items for Fall, Halloween, and Christmas.
The items available include Halloween and fall décor, festive lights, wrapping paper, and practical gifts such as cozy holiday pajamas—perfect for bringing warmth and comfort to families during the holiday season.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generous support of Walmart, whose donations have made this event possible,” said Marie Baxter, CEO of Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada. “For families living on limited budgets, holiday décor often takes a backseat to more pressing needs. This community support allows us to help spread the holiday spirit and provide joy to families in our area.”
The holiday store is free and open to families who are eligible for Catholic Charities services. No registration is required, and all items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
