Grangaard, a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, spent his entire life dedicated to the field of software development. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Sioux Falls, Grangaard has built a remarkable career that spans several renowned organizations, including TerraSpectra Geomatics, Hughes Aircraft, Raytheon, SAIC, and Northrop Grumman. At TerraSpectra Geomatics, he honed his skills in developing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and systems, particularly for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) Reclamation of Abandoned Mines (RAMS) program. Layth’s broad software and systems development experience has allowed him to serve the project’s varying needs in terms of complexity and reliability.
