RENO, Nev. – Reno’s only celebrity chef-owned restaurant, Charlie Palmer Steak Reno at Grand Sierra Resort (GSR), is excited to invite guests to celebrate the holidays with a festive five course dinner and wine pairing on Thursday, Dec. 8 starting at 6 p.m.Guests will begin the night with a smoked king salmon alongside Tsar Nicoulai salmon caviar, crème fraiche, chives and toasted brioche, accompanied by a 2018 Limestone Chardonnay. The second course will feature a winter truffle rigatoni made with wild mushroom ragu, porcini cream and parmigiano reggiano, paired with a 2019 Flowers Pinot Noir.
Served with a 2017 Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon, the main course is a cooked-to-perfection black angus filet mignon accompanied by a potato gratin, sprouted cauliflower and a cabernet reduction.
The final course is an aged cheve crottin with roasted Anjou pear and chestnut honey served with a 2020 Seghesio Zinfandel followed by an assortment of delectable chocolates and mignardises to end the night.
The holiday dinner will be hosted by Chef Charlie Palmer and guests will also receive a signed cookbook from the award-winning chef as a special gift.
