Carson City, NV — Nevada Rural Housing (NRH) has announced that Kevin Hickey, Homeownership Programs Manager, has been elected to the Board of Trustees for the Silver State Fair Housing Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting fair housing and eliminating housing discrimination throughout Nevada.
In his role at Nevada Rural Housing, Hickey leads efforts to expand access to affordable homeownership opportunities across rural communities. He works closely with lenders, real estate professionals, and local partners to increase participation in homeownership programs, deliver training and outreach, and ensure that individuals and families have access to the resources needed to achieve sustainable homeownership.
Hickey brings more than two decades of experience in customer service, communications, and leadership, including 25 years in the airline industry prior to joining NRH. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from East Carolina University and a Master of Science in Emergency and Crisis Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
The Silver State Fair Housing Council works to ensure that all Nevadans have equal access to housing opportunities through education, advocacy, and enforcement of fair housing laws.
