Helix Electric, LLC (Helix), an award-winning electrical contractor that specializes in design-build and highly complex electrical projects, has been selected as the electrical subcontractor for the highly anticipated Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) Arena project in Reno. The state-of-the-art multi-use arena and attached community ice rink and connector building are poised to redefine Reno’s skyline and boost the region’s position as a premier destination for sports, entertainment, and large-scale events.
Under its contract with general contractor Martin-Harris Construction, Helix will provide comprehensive electrical services for the approximately 340,000-square-foot facility, including electrical design-assist, medium-voltage systems, lighting and lighting controls, site electrical infrastructure, fire alarm systems, audiovisual infrastructure, and telecommunications systems. The project is already underway with completion targeted for 2027.
