Las Vegas – The Las Vegas Women’s Marketing Collective (LVWMC), a curated leadership community for women shaping the future of marketing and communications in Las Vegas, partnered with UNLV Lee Business School for its first ever talent exchange event. This speed-networking event introduced students looking for internships and entry-level jobs to Las Vegas businesses looking for quality candidates for immediate and future positions.
The Las Vegas Women’s Marketing Collective x UNLV Talent Exchange took place at The Collective on April 16 and welcomed Las Vegas employers and students for multiple rounds of 3-minute speed networking sessions. Upon arrival, students were offered professional headshots taken by photographer Judy Bendezu before kicking off conversations with employers to flex their networking skills.
“We saw the need to create a talent pipeline and connect students and upcoming job seekers with some of Las Vegas’s most respected businesses,” said Paula Yakubik, founder of the Las Vegas Women’s Marketing Collective. She continued, “We enjoyed a stellar night and hope that it’s the first of many more talent exchanges to come.”
Participating employers included Audacy, Blis, Bluberi Gaming, Club Ride Commuter Services, Ellis Island Casino & Hotel, Ericka Aviles Consulting, Illumin, KLAS-TV 8 News Now, Lamar Advertising, Modena Digital Consulting, Pavilion Payments, Spiegelworld, and Third House North. The event was sponsored by MassMedia Marketing, Advertising + PR, as well as KTNV Channel 13 News.
