<Accounts payable clerk finds her niche at one of the state’s most reputable HOA management companies>
Heather Shuit, an accounts payable clerk at CAMCO (Complete Association Management Company) of Nevada, is celebrating 20 years with the company. Shuit was hired in July of 2004, and served in a number of roles with CAMCO, including receptionist, prior to settling into the accounts payable position 12 years ago. In her role, Shuit runs expenses through each HOA client’s approval process before authorizing payment to vendors.
Shuit moved to Southern Nevada from Michigan in 2004, and was hoping to land a teaching position with Clark County School District. An opportunity with CAMCO surfaced in July of that year, before a substitute teaching position opened up, and she has been with the company ever since.
Asked what the key to her longevity is, she remarked: “Having a good work ethic, and I love numbers. I’m here for the long run. I still love accounting after all these years, even with all the changes and turnover that come with the industry.”

Shuit has two children, and is an pet lover who studied animal science in college. She owned a horse for 17 years and currently has four dogs and five cats.
