Broadbent & Associates, Inc. (Broadbent), a leading environmental, water resource, and civil engineering firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Herrick to its board of directors as board member at large and the promotion of existing board member and current secretary, Scott McNulty to vice president.
“We are thrilled to welcome Matt to our board of directors and to announce Scott McNulty’s well-deserved promotion to vice president, said Randy Miller, PE, CEM, president of Broadbent. “Both Matt and Scott embody the values of Broadbent, consistently delivering exceptional results and demonstrating leadership excellence. Their upward progression into corporate leadership signifies our commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent within our organization as we continue to provide innovative solutions to our clients.”
Herrick, currently serving as the Reno manager and principal hydrogeologist at Broadbent, brings over two decades of experience in environmental and hydrogeologic investigations across the Western United States. Holding certifications as a Professional Geologist (PG), Certified Hydrogeologist (CHG), and Certified Environmental Manager (CEM), Herrick has been an invaluable asset to Broadbent since joining the team in 2001.
With a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics and a Master of Science in Hydrogeology from the University of Nevada, Reno, his expertise and leadership have played a pivotal role in the success of numerous complex projects. Notably, he serves on the board of trustees for the Nevada Water Resources Association (NWRA), showcasing his commitment to advancing environmental stewardship beyond his professional endeavors across the state.
In addition to Herrick’s appointment, Broadbent is proud to announce the promotion of Scott McNulty to the position of vice president while continuing his duties as air/stack testing manager and principal geologist.
McNulty, a seasoned PG, CHG, and CEM, has been an integral part of Broadbent’s success story since 1995. McNulty developed the Air Quality Permitting and Stack Testing divisions of Broadbent in the late 1990s, an effort that enabled the firm to provide a turn‐key solution to all phases of clients’ air quality needs. He currently oversees a staff of 14 air quality professionals that perform emissions testing, ambient air monitoring, reporting, modeling, permitting, and compliance negotiation work with most air quality regulatory jurisdictions in the western United States.
With over 29 years of experience in soil, water, and air investigations, McNulty has consistently demonstrated his dedication to quality leadership within the company. His contributions have been instrumental in advancing Broadbent’s culture and their capabilities in environmental consulting services.
Broadbent’s board of directors include Randy Miller (president), Scott McNulty (vice president), Kirk Stowers (treasurer), Jon Bell (secretary), and Matt Herrick (board member at large).
