CAMCO of Nevada, one of the state’s largest and most respected HOA management companies, gave its administrative assistants a well-deserved mid-day break. On April 24th, Administrative Professionals Day, about 40 staff members enjoyed a bowling party at the Orleans Hotel & Casino. The team members broke up into 12 teams for some friendly competition. The top six bowlers won Visa gift cards. CAMCO community managers answered phones and handled office walk-in traffic while the team members were away.
“Our administrative professionals are the backbone of our company, and they do so much for all the managers behind the scenes. Every year, we try to show our appreciation in a fun and unique way,” said Mary Rendina, CAMCO’s head of marketing.
The 40 team members included administrative assistants and support staff from client services, accounting, association services, and the scanning/filing team.
“For all of us to be able to get together and hang out is special, since we are all in different departments and are not always able to do that,” added Veronica Palafox, lead administrative assistant.
CAMCO regularly takes time to celebrate its employees throughout the year. In March it hosted its Game Day teambuilding event. There is also an annual employee awards gathering, Fall festival, summer Relaxation Day, and gatherings like its annual tradeshow and Girl Scout Cookie sale donate proceeds to local charities.
