RENO, Nev. – Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) is proud to continue its partnership with Children’s Cabinet in support of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Members of the GSR Cares team and Children’s Cabinet planted over 100 pinwheels across the property to symbolize their commitment to raising awareness for this important cause.
“We’re proud to stand alongside Children’s Cabinet during National Child Abuse Prevention Month,” said Shannon Keel, GSR general manager. “This pinwheel installation symbolizes hope and solidarity in our collective effort to protect children from harm. Together we can make a difference in the lives of Nevada’s children and raise awareness within the community.”
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, emphasizing the significance of communities coming together to strengthen families and prevent child mistreatment. The colorful pinwheel installation at GSR serves as a visual representation of this and the property’s commitment to improving the Northern Nevada community.
In addition to the pinwheel installation, GSR team members donned blue attire on Friday to support the event and raise awareness among guests and visitors.
