CAMCO Nevada, one of the state’s largest and most respected HOA management companies, held its annual Game Day on Thursday, March 21, at its Las Vegas office, 4775 West Teco Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The gathering is a team building effort that brings together employees from every part of the company, then puts them into teams to compete against one another in games such as Pictionary, Jeopardy, a relay race, a basketball free throw contest, and more.
“We started Game Day about four years ago and today it’s organized by our spirit committee,” said CAMCO CEO Joel Just. “It’s a chance to reward our employees for their hard work with a catered lunch, some friendly competition and time to relax together. What I love about it is how we pick teams comprised of people from all levels of the company. These employees may not interact often on a typical workday, but through playing games together at this event, they get to know each other pretty quickly.”
This year’s CAMCO Game Day was sponsored by members of VIVA (Vegas Industry Vendors Association). Vendor representatives in attendance at the event included:
- Brian Berg Insurance Services
- MK House Consulting
- The Law Office of Michael McKelleb, Esq. PLLC
- Sherwin-Williams
- Tree Solutions
- UAR (United Assessment Recovery)
Teams competed for ribbons, medals, a trophy, and year-long bragging rights. This year’s winning teams were:
- The Mandalorians (First Place Winner, also voted “Team with the Most Spirit”)
- The Screaming Goats (Second Place Winners)
- The Diamond Dogs (Third Place Winners)
- The Pictionary with a Sports Birthday Theme Room was voted “Most Fun Room”
- The Jeopardy with a Harry Potter Theme Room was voted “Best Decorated Room”
Game Day is one of many annual employee appreciation events CAMCO hosts for its team members. Each year, the company holds holiday festivals, an employee awards event, a relaxation day, and others.
