Reno – Dickson Commercial Group (DCG) is pleased to announce the sale of the Lakeridge Pointe Shopping Center, a 35,000 square-foot neighborhood center located in the Meadowood submarket of Reno. The property was purchased by an affiliate of Alignment Real Estate (ARE) from the original developer, Lakeridge Pointe Associates. ARE was represented by Chris Shanks, CCIM and Tom Fennell, CCIM of Dickson Commercial Group.
The principals of Alignment are Scott Beggs and Cathy Shanks, CPM. Beggs and Shanks first met while employees of Dermody Properties, Shanks being head of property management and Beggs head of portfolio management. In their respective capacities, they found their skills sets to be highly complementary with Shanks having a strong property orientation, and Beggs adept in underwriting and finance. Shanks and Beggs have formed Alignment Real Estate LLC to provide best-in-class commercial real estate investment and property management services to qualified investors.
In addition to the new ownership and rebranding of the center, ARE intends to reposition the asset by completing exterior capital improvements to maximize outdoor seating, modernize the landscaping, add new signage, and work to continue to promote a strong mix of restaurant and retail uses. Gary Tremaine, senior retail broker and Lindy Deller of DCG have been retained as the leasing agents for the center.
The property is strategically located with quick access to McCarran Blvd., and is a short distance to one of Reno’s largest new residential developments, Rancharrah.
